An ambitious goal indeed, but by no means an unachievable
one. By learning and applying the right techniques, you can indeed be 10 pounds
lighter in 4 weeks time. Here are the keys to being able to lose 10 pounds in 4
weeks.
Lose 10
Pounds In 4 Weeks-1
Calorie
counting may be boring, but it does pay off. By knowing exactly how many
calories you need, and how many you are taking in, you can plan your
adjustments to have the best effect. A pound of weight is equivalent to 3500 calories,
so if you can either cut that many calories out of your diet, or exercise to
remove that much, then you will be one pound of weight nearer to your goal.
Lose 10
Pounds In 4 Weeks-2
Start to
exercise. Doing the math will show you that you need to remove 35000 calories, either by exercising, or by
cutting down on your food consumption, to lose the targeted 10 pounds. A
typical human being of around 160 lbs will use 300+ calories by running gently
for 30 minutes. A much heavier person will lose a lot more than that, but this
illustrates how possible it is, with the right techniques and some
determination, to get rid of a lot of excess weight.

Pounds In 4 Weeks-3
Try no to
cut foods out completely. Assuming your favorite food is chocolate cake, you
know that you will need to moderate your intake of it, as it will be impossible
to sustain weight loss unless you do. However, if you cut it out completely,
you will probably find yourself missing it too much, and the task of sticking
to your program will be that much harder. The best solution is to keep your
favorite foods to give yourself a treat when you manage to achieve one of your
targets – the only problem could occur if you give yourself too big a reward,
and end up eating the whole cake...
Lose 10 Pounds in 4 Weeks-4
Keep going.
Losing as much weight as 10 pounds in as short a time frame as 4 weeks is not
easy, and it would be better to take a bit longer. If you were prepared to give
yourself 5 or 6 weeks, your body would find it easier to tolerate the differing
circumstances. Trying to lose 10 pounds in 4 weeks is being very ambitious, so
if you don't quite get there, don't worry about it. The end result should be in
sight, so just keep going until you achieve it.
